David Berenato has committed the last 26 years to perfecting his practice in cardiac and vascular ultrasound. He became board certified in 1990 as a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) accredited by the American Society of Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS). Since then, he has earned many 'Continuing Medical Education Certificates' from universities all over the nation by completing courses in Cardiac Imaging, Physician Interpretation, Trends in Nonivasive Vascular Test Utilization, Prevalence of Bilateral Deep Venous Thrombosis, Brachiocephalic Artery Occlusion, Atherosclerosis Risk Factors in the Prevalence of Duplex Scans, Incidence of Significant Carotid Artery Disease, Intracranial Lesions, The Methods of Transducer Degradation on Image Quality, Sonographic Screening Examinations in Pregnancy, Sonographic Evaluation of Complications of Liver Transplantation and many more.
His range of study prompted him to establish his own mobile, ultrasound service. In 1993, Mr. Berenato founded Cardiosonics. Cardiosonics currently has ten employees, five of which are certified and highly trained technologists. Benefitting as a mobile company, Cardiosonics is able to service the South Jersey and Greater Philadelphia area assisting over 30 physicians in diagnosing cardiac, peripheral vascular and cerebrovascular ailments.
He attends seminars regularly across the nation furthering his competence as an RVT and President of Cardiosonics. He is also a member of the ARDMS, The American Society of Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographers, The Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers, Society for Vascular Ultrasound and The Peripheral Arterial Disease Coalition.
